Liposuction—also known as lipoplasty or liposculpture—is a surgical procedure that removes selected areas of localised fat to alter body contour.
Common treatment areas include the abdomen, hips, thighs, flanks, neck and upper arms. It is not a general weight-loss treatment and requires surgical assessment.
